In this project, carried out in the heart of Amsterdam, Bennies Installation Company A professional roof renovation was carried out on a characteristic building overlooking a historic church. The existing roof covering and connections showed clear signs of wear, leakage, and loose leadwork—problems often encountered in older buildings in inner-city areas.
The project consisted of the complete renewal of the gutters, valley gutters and connection details with high-quality materials, namely lead and zinc. These materials are ideally suited for waterproof finishing and also offer a long lifespan and a traditional look that perfectly complements the building's historic architectural style.
The work includes, among other things:
- Removal of outdated and damaged leadwork.
- Cleaning and preparing the roof surface.
- Replacing zinc gutters and installing new lead connections along the rising facade section.
- Careful connection to existing roof tiles and bitumen roof parts.
- Check drainage and sealing to prevent future leaks.
Thanks to our team's precise execution and attention to detail, the roof is now fully resistant to rain, wind, and other weather conditions. The finish is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing, in keeping with the historic architecture.
